Mini Van Identification marks
Discussion
Hi Gents,
I have a Mini Van shell that has been de-seemed and the front end is gone from the bulkhead forward. It came with all new sheet metal to do a rebuild.
There was no paperwork supplied with the shell, (no V5 or Title, i'm in the states). On my sedan, the ID plates are on the front panels. My question is: Might there be numbers stamped into the shell in other places? I recently read that there may be some on the drip edge under the wiper arms. I assume the comment was talking about the drip edge where the bonnet meets the body.
Most of the floor needs to be replaced back to the rear subframe mounting points. I have all those panels to but it would be nice to identify it somehow. Hate to have to Title it as a home built down the road.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

One of ours, an '86 saloon, has the number stamped large in the drip edge you mention. It's the bit you see with the bonnet and rubber sealing strip removed, in the middle.
