1275 HP Improvements
Discussion
Hi all,
With winter approaching I'm looking at ways to improve the straight line speed of my Mini 96 Sprite 1275.
I've done a fair amount of research and have started to make my way through David Vizards bible.
Come to the decision to aim for 80-90 BHP to keep reliability up. Just looking for some advise from any of you that have done the same improvements?
Looking for specifics: stage 1 kits, cylinder heads, camshafts, carbs that you found worked well, or even not so well.....
Thanks in advance.

96 Sprite is a Single Point Injection car or a Multi Point Injection? Been a while since I tinkered with classic minis built post 1990.
I ran mid 90s BHP on a carb cooper with an MG Metro Cam, 1.5:1 ratio roller tip rockers, LCB manifold, Stage 1 inlet manifold and a "fast Road" head from VMAX Scart. Stuart at VMAX set it up on his Dyno. It drove like a standard car and was fairly brisk with the metro final drive ratio in the gearbox.
