Went shopping today...came back with a few bits and pieces

Veneer door furniture (winders, openers, handles)
Veneer and leather steering wheel
Veneer gear knob ( PODIE )
Mat set with purple edging and embroidered Mini
Clear rear lenses
Clear repeater lenses
Chrome numberpate light
Chrome numberplate surround
Front spots
Front fogs
10" x 6" anthracite with polished rim minilights
Falken tyres
Widened arches plus edging
Locking wheel nuts

What you should have done was waste some of your money on making it go faster/better!

Having said mine goes like a rocket but looks like a shagged old heap!

Just sold my Chimaera so bank manager should be very bloody happy!

Stage 1 was stuff I could do myself quickly to make me feel better about the Chim.

Better - Stage 2 of evil plan Although the new steering wheel has made a HUGE difference to the handling! wasn't expecting so much to be honest.

Faster - Stage 3 of evil plan

Why doesn't the chrome fuel cap fit?

What sort is it, a replacement or the one that fits over?

Wish I'd kept all my old mini tuning bits now instead of virtually giving them away on ebay .. I would have gladly given them away for a worthy case like this.

good luck with the upgrades TG

very nice indeed. I quite like the look of 13's and I have my eye on a set of 13x7 Ultralight Split-rims in Anthracite, with Antracite arches and roof. That's when I've paid for the Sprint to be resprayed. And put the Mini engine back together. And fixed the holes in the Mini. And the sills. And paid for the wedding.

Post some pics up! I can host 'em if you want

Looking good.

That's a nice car, I thought that all equinox's were purple, nice to see something different.

How come you missed an RC40 off the shopping list? Massive improvement to looks and noise.

Ooh yes! And some blue neon strips under the sills to match your interior trim.

10" wheels, are you going to run S brakes?

I assume you aren't going to get the "Oh shit, they don't fit" thing!

If you want a cheap alternative to S brakes, look on miniclassic.co.uk for mk1 fiesta callipers thread. I run S brakes and they were expensive and a pain.

Car looks nice.

Hi all

Just got the Mini back, I am now minus an arm and a leg but it was worth it!

She has had:

Cooper S brakes with stainless pistons
10" wheels, and new arches
New fuel pump
Fogs and spots fitted
Decatted and new exhaust (that pops and bangs! )
A panels, seams round the front lights and windscreen and front wings shotblasted and repainted
New fanbelt, oil and filter change.
and a few other bits and pieces.

And she looks FAB!!! Will post pics soon!
