Hi,

I currently have a set of Camac 145R10s on my 1964 Morris Cooper 1071s. These are now over 12 years old and need replacing.

I am deeply unimpressed with the Camacs. The rubber has always seemed very hard and there is zero wet grip.

I would be interested in any alternative tyre recommendations. I am running the original 3.5" wheels so I guess I am stuck with 145 x 10s.

Although used regularly the car mainly potters about doing short runs in central London and only manages a few hundred miles a year. Good tyre mileage is not important.

Thanks!

Dunlop Aquajets are available in 145X10" but at £100+ each not cheap but were designed for the Mini and do grip in the wet.

The dunlops are just about the only quality 145/10 that suits the period of the car (unless blockley start to do one) just got to dig deep for them, or wait until the Beaulieu show in June when Vintage Tyres some times offer them VAT free
