Storing an Engine
Discussion
I reckon A series engine's seem to be pretty tough.
I've left one outside with no oil in it for about 8 months, decided I needed it again, so filled it with liquids, plumbed it in, turned the key and away it went
If you leave oil in it, to normal-ish levels, it will just sit happily in the sump just stopping the gears from rusting at all (assuming you leave the 'box on it). But, it will leak a bit, cos let's face it is an A-series....
To be honest, if it's only for 6 months, for my money I'd just wrap it up under a tarpaulin to keep the rain off it, and hope for the best!
(But please don't quote me on that if it all goes horribly wrong...)
