Is it for ghetto-rolling or driving properly?

works cooper S wheels are 18" so will most likely fit. Might need a new steering rack to limit chance of rubbing when turning. Best to ask BMW

I've got 18" Kahn's on my Mini Cooper. They fitted straight on with absolutely no problems; no arch-rolling or tyre scraping. I've had them on for around 15,000 miles now. I know for a fact that even 19"s fit straight on with no problems, so you'll definately be ok with the 18"s.

They do slow the car down a tiny little bit, and I'm quite sure that the handling would be better with 17" rather than 18" wheels, but it hasn't bothered me!

Just make sure you get the right offset for the 18" wheel you are putting on and you should have no problems mate... I think you can go as big as 20" if you really need to but that is definitely for show and not go

If you are looking at lowering the car, then you may have a few problems dependent on wheel selection and tyre size... standard suspension should be ok tho.... just check the offset... Off the top of my head I think the JCW wheels are a 52mm offset... whereas the standard S spoke wheels are 45mm offset... so quite a difference

I've had cars with the 17s and the 18s. My advice would be - if you care about the way the car drives - don't bother with the 18s. They ruin the car's composure and highlight the difficulty in getting power down (in the S Works at least).

I've got the JC 18's on my Works S with the JCW suspension, as well as a set of 17's in the garage. And that's where the 17's are staying as far as I'm concerned.

I'd put those 17s back on if you go on a track with it though....

Possibly, though I'm not likely to take it on track much

although 17 n 18 inch alloys look the best, 16 inch mini alloys are the best for handling due to the width of the tyre. i wud still prefer 17's or 18's coz they transform the look ov the car. as for 19 inch load ov sh**e. completely does away with the best feature of a mini itz handling!!!
