Competition Brakes and Suspension Advice needed!
Discussion
Hi all,
I have a Mk3 which I use for racing (although it is road legal). Fully stripped, safety devices roll cage and a MED engineering 1460 Engine with dog box running on 10 inch wheels.
I have the Fiesta MK1 brakes conversion - first question is whether anyone knows of performance brake pads to go with these callipers. Or whether you recommend another setup altogether. My main concern is that the car doesn't stop the way it should especially when racing. Ideally the conversion needs to be a period conversion always keeping in mind that I intend to stick with the 10 inch wheels.
Second is suspension. I intend retaining the cones - what is the commonly acknowledged best aftermarket performance cone? and same for the shocks - are there shocks that are considered as 'superior' among the Mini enthusiasts?
Advice appreciated!
