Due to my recent Elise purchase. I literally have no room for my beloved Mini Cooper which I've had since 1998.

Its a red/white 1990 Mini Cooper. It was originally the carb model that came into production for only 1 year.

However the car has a brand new (not even run in yet) MED 1380 engine, Omega Pistons, 286 scatter cams, stage 1 exhaust and inlet manifolds, K&N cone filter, 3.44 final drive, Adjustarides at the front, new shocks all round, 13"x6" Superlights, Maple wood dash with Sportspack clocks + cream dials for the speedo and revcounter. Body work is in great nick at the back as it was all recently replaced, the front could do with some TLC but still in fairly good nick for an H reg mini!

I've no idea what to ask for it and don't really want to sell it for pennies. Any ideas what is worth guys?

More than you might think. Hard to guage without seeing the bodywork, but so long as the work required wasn't severe I'd say around £3K may be a ball park figure.

Ah, that is quite good news, thanks for the feedback.

Bodyworks fine really, you cant see the rust with the wheelarches fitted. I just know its there and annoys me. Ideally new wings would make it almost perfect.

I'll try and get a photo of it, but just now its 40 miles away being stored in a friends garage!

I would imagine a decent amount - MiniSport sell early 90's citys and such for upwards of £4k!!!!!!

Afriad it's not an RSP cooper, It's the one the that was made from 90 - 91 carb model. It was basically the RSP without the half-leather interior and 'signed' stripes.

£4k! crazy, perhaps I should make it perfect before i shift it!

forgot to say no sunroof!

I would imagine that if you ensure everything is back to standard and minor details such as bubbled a panels and wotnot are cured you would definately get more money. MiniSport have ridiculous prices on their cars, i have no idea whether they ever sell them but the fact that they are prepared to charge so much suggests they may do! They havent got much at the moment, nothing in the 90-91 age range. MBM have a mint looking 94 mayfair on their site for £3995!

I'm in Edinburgh, forgot to say in addition to previous description the head has also been ported and duplex timing gear.

Where are you?
