Headliner Frame - Mini Pickup
Discussion
This might be a bit of a long shot ... I'm asking on behalf of my girlfriend's Uncle, who lives in Canada and restores classic Minis as a hobby. He currently has the shell of a 1979 pick up, which he is rebuilding to 1963 specifications. However he needs a frame for the headliner, which is specific to the pickup truck variant. I don't believe a frame from the van or saloon variants will fit.
Does anyone know where he could source one from?
I'd imagine it's going to be a part that's hard to find. Specialist scrap dealers? Perhaps even buy another pickup for spares/repairs? Alternatively, I don't suppose one could be fabricated? Any help much appreciated!

Firstly, it is the metal headliner frame that I am searching for. I have the fabric already.
I also have a set from a van that can be cut up to make a workaround... But this would be my absolute last resort.
I really want the real thing.
I'm trying to help source one, mainly as I'm in the UK and it's easier! However does anyone know where I should look? Scrappy? Classic Mini forums?I also have a set from a van that can be cut up to make a workaround... But this would be my absolute last resort.

Have a chat with Craig at Mini Technique. He has a HUGE stock of 2nd hand Mini parts, and may have one. If he doesn't then he may know someone who does.
