Can anyone dispel the myth that a non genuine rear subframe is of shoddy design, build. It seems tempting at half the price or am I going to pay for it it grazed knuckles. It could be you get what you pay for......any thoughts?

Personally I would go for genuine. The alignment *should* be that bit better. But there will still be swearing and grazed knuckles involved whichever route you take! Get some Waxoil or equivalent into those awkward areas before fitting it. Best of luck.
