Mini commuting :)
Discussion
Love my Mini. Decided to "dig her out" to commute to work the other day as in a rare occurrence, I'm doing a contract here in London that allows me to drive to work as there is parking at the other end and I can get in early. I'd not used the car for nearly 3 months and it's been sat outside, battery still connected and everything. I jumped in, pulled out the choke, and after 1 min of coaxing, she fired up and off we went. Magic. Got to work even quicker than usual due to being able to squeeze through traffic and everyone letting me out. And when I finished late last night after a crap day, I could drive her on her door handles through town unleashing all 38 or so rampant ponies while never breaking the speed limit
Good work, I used to love commuting in my Mini!
I also 'dug mine out' this week too, although this meant unceremoniously dragging her (literally using a strap and our Xsara Picasso) from the front garden and onto the drive ready to go into the garage next week... she's in a bad way and due a full resto this winter!

Oooo, I like that one. Great colour and love the wheels. The chrome wing mirrors go really well. My first car was a 1980 mini 1000, and on the rare occasion I see one on the road I so want to go out and restore one to it's former glory. The missus is having non of that idea even though I tried to pitch it along the lines of me 'just wanting one to lay up for a while before they get even rarer - and we might even make a few quid when we sell etc!'
