A+ Cam but rusty journals

Was rooting around in the garage/barn thing in Scotland t'other week and found the old A+ cam from the engine I rebuilt for the mini clubman, now sold BTW.
I wrapped it in newspaper and it was stil covered in oil BUT it seems that wasn't enough and the journals have some rust on them. Not sure it's usable anymore, can you do a regrind and fit undersize cam bearings, never heard of it.
It's going in the skip unless it's any use to anyone. Could be MG but not sure.

If its just surface rust ok. If pitted then really they are just not worth the work to sort out. look good as a book end?

Need two for bookends, think it's an anchor for a very small boat.

Or drill up the middle for a table lamp....
