Trying to locate Mum's first car - 1971 Morris Mini
Discussion
Hey all,
I've taken on a bit of a mission in trying to track down my mum's first car with the idea of making an offer and trying to restore it as a surprise. Trouble is I'm not sure where to begin in trying to do this. I know that the vehicle exists and has been SORN'd (checked via the DVLA vehicle information page), so thought I would post on here to see if anyone had some advice.
The registration is XKL 103J and the vehicle is a Morris Mini in yellow. I believe it is in the Dover area somewhere but that's as near as I've managed to get so far.
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Good luck with your search. I have heard of some people writing to the DVLA with a full explanation of why they want the current owner details, and lets say, coming up with a way of getting in contact with them! See what they say.
My first car was a 1980 mini 1000 and it was great. Sold it in 1994 for £75 so I could get pissed on a weeks skiing holiday and have regretted it ever since. Scrapped in 1997 as far as I can tell.
Hope you find it for your mum, it sure would be a great surprise for her.
