hello chap/esses, I'm desperate to find a rear offside group N arch as the gimp who fitted them didn't do it properly and it fell off while booting it over the A52. so after 7 weeks of having other things on my mind, I now find myself trying to source one and all I get is "a group what arch?" so please, if anyone has one hanging about, or even knows where to find them I will be extra grateful! I don't even mind buying a whole set of four!

thanks

now i'm confused. apparently the group N arches were the normal road going ones? my arches are completely different to the standard ones! they're barely wide enough to cover a 7X13" wheel! anybody help?

Are you sure you don't mean group 2 arches?

Get hold of the Mini Spares catalogue (or maybe their website) as it shows several different designs of wheelarch.

Group 'N' is standard series production touring car regulatons, So a Group 'N' arch is an absolutely standard one.
Early arches for race and rally were Group 2 (which became Group 'A' - modified series production touring car). These carry the chrome trim strip right over the wheel arch in one continuous strip (a right bugger to fit!). Is that the type you mean. Most of the Mini specialists stock these and they are not expensive, but you may have to buy a complete set. Use a hairdryer to shape the trim strips when fitting them.

my arches (at least the three that are still attached ) are approx 4" wide, and curve under where the bumper would go if it hadn't been deseamed by approx 5". they are white if that helps, in an unpainted primer type colour, and they have a vertical lip all the way around on the exterior edge. they are also plain with no chrome or external screws or anything like that. when my tinternet is fixed at home i'll upload some piccies

Just what I was going to say, Chris.
They were originally fitted to the 1968 'works' Gp 5 racing cars IIRC.
With 10" dia x 6" wide wheels they do look great.

just asked the chap at minispeed and he's searching his store room for an offside rear, but I suppose I may have to buy the whole set if he hasn't the odd one lying around. still, many thanks, the PH massif works again! I was truly tearing my hair out wondering what the hell it was! excellent work!
