I am not an SU expert but what are the advantages of an 1 3/4 inch HIF 44 over the equivelant HS6?

On the outside they look different but in operation is there much between the 2?

If HS6's are a good idea, is it better to use a left or right handed one?

HIFF has an intergrated float bowl as opposed to one on the side. It is generall considered better as it is a more modern design, na dovercomes fuel surge/starvation when cornering hard due to the central location of the float chamber. It also has all the springs attatched to it. I have haeard that they are slightly more difficult to set up to pass hydrocarbon emission tests, but I've never had a problem with my 38. You also need a small screwdriver bit to adjust them as opposed to nothing for the HS.
