cam bearings

hi guys
just wondered if there was a manual /portable tool for replacing the cam bearings????
I know they would be pressed in normal circumstances but I don't have one.
the engine builder said I don't need to change them but I cant see the hardship for 15 quid while it is stripped and has minor scoring.

It is very easy to damage cam bearings when fitting them unless you have the correct tools.

I take it there is not an alterntive tool then??Also do they need reeming after fitment please.
