for my 1360 would the best head to use be the 12g940?

Yes, it will be a 12G940 casting number.
However there are many derivations of the basic 12G940.
The ideal head will be an MG Metro version with 35.6 mm inlet & 29.5 mm exhaust valves.
Then get it gas-flowed and set the compression ratio to around 10.2:1
That will be an ideal basis for a good engine.

If you're going the forced induction route, yes.

Inlet valves are smaller than the MG metro, so it'll need larger valves and the throat opened up to start off with. Exhaust valves (if original) are sodium filled on Turbo heads and very expensive to replace.

MG Metro head will be the best place to start really.
