i bought it from a Lady who purchased it in Australia in 1992, then had it shipped over when she returned back to scotland in about 2007. it was originally registered in Turramurra, near Sydney and i have the original "Passport" detailing this.
its a 998cc with most of the original extra emission control equipment still with it though im led to believe there are some bits missing.
The main differences with this compared to a comparative UK clubman of the same ages are the doors, which are external hinged, with wind up windows, quarterlights and different handles. interior has a different switch panel, heater unit and seats are taller and hinge differently which are very comfy and allow much easier access to the back. the seats are in good condition apart from the back which will need some repairs.

also the rear screen is a smaller mk1 item, with the bootlid being a mk1 style but the hinged plate hanger is smaller width, so a standard uk plate looks a bit rubbish..

overall its in pretty good condition, lots of little jobs to do and i will be changing the front drums to 7.5" disks just for peace of mind. it runs very nicely and is very comfy and smooth.

i dont think there are many of these in the UK, so was delighted to be able to snap it up. should be at IMM next year in it so feel free to say hello and have a look..

Thanks, started on some of the wee jobs, removed the tints from the front windows, the tints themselves arent too bad to come off once softened with a heat gun, but the adhesive left behind is a pain..
bit of internet digging has turned up the possibility that the door locks are the same as MG ones. the standard clip which holds the barrel still is notoriously rubbish but theres a different clip been developed so bought a kit from ebay to see if they work as my passenger lock spins and the drivers one feels loose.
