I'm having trouble with fotango but if the link works you'll see some photos of my newly finished mini!!! Opinions please! I'm as yet unsure whether or not to do the whole union jack thing....and i think some extra lighting might be an idea after last nights moorland run, which was basically driving blind with zero visibility - not good!

thanks!

Rick, best way of showing your pics from fotango is as follows:

1) you'll have to log in and for each pic click on it to view it seperately
2) then click on the "view your link to this picture" link in the right hand menu
3) link appears above the image view
4) edit your post above and insert the URL to the pic between [pic] and [/pic]

That should do it!

There you go, after all that! Its hardly original or anything but its mine and i like it...currently petitioning the uncle for an alloy cylinder head sat in his garage and wanting to fit a few more lights - has any one else got the 4 x seven inch set from huddersfield mini spares yet? it looks good but have been pissed about by that particular shop so many times i do wonder about the quality etc...! Your sopinions and suggestions are welcome!

Heres what it looked like two years ago - a bit grim to say the least.

Looks brilliant mate - really nice restoration there.

Spotlamps are definately a good idea - must get round to finishing mine when I return

Wipac halogens and good quality bulbs are all you need really. And a brand new, clean windscreen for night driving.

Ive got a pair of autopal headlamps on at the moment and it seems like a pair of candles strapped on the front, drove through fog the other day and was terrified because i couldnt see a thing!

Well done! Looks excellent. I'm in the process of working out when to do up my Italian Job. Needs the usual bodywork restoration at 12 years of age.

If you are thinking of a roof design, look at the Minis Only website. I think it is www.minisonly.co.uk They are based just outside Southampton.

They are a superb outfit and have done some stunning custom roof designs, and have exported cars to the USA and all over. Well worth a call if you want something a bit unique.

Thanks for the website - their roof stuff looks great; bit of a shame i'm on £4.85/hr! Has anyone ever seen any of the idlegear stuff? £60+ seems like a hell of a lot of wad for some vinyl sheeting!

Rickapple - give Kev a ring. If you have a design he can do it. He's not as pricey as you might think, and he's always keen spread the word about his work, so if you take your Mini to shows etc.. he may be willing to strike a deal.
