Help Please!! My Nan's Cooper Sport 500

Evening!! Long time lurker could do with some advice/help!!
My Nan has always had fun cars - about 13 years ago she arrived at my parents with a brand new red Cooper Sport 500!! Fun car which she soon complimented with a not so fun car - a Perodua Kelisa auto... But much easier for her to drive.
So the mini has spent most of its life in her garage, clocking up 10,000 miles only (50 between last years MOT and this years!) - she now says its too much for her; so the question is how sought after are these Sport 500's and what should she ask for it?? I am going to advertise on PH but wanted to get a feel for value. Any help/advice greatly received...
I don't know the all details but:

Reg - was on a private plate (but can grab the V5 at the weekend)
Production Number - my nan always said "last of the 500" but suspect this is unlikely; I'll check plaque in glove box at the weekend also...
Mileage - 10,000
Condition - good (I haven't inspected recently but always been cherished)
Colour - Red with silver stripes/roof
Interior - black/silver leather
Owners - 1 (my nan)

As far as I'm aware it's immaculate - always garaged, only ever a 2nd car used in the summer... Ive had a google and prices range from about £8k to £16k(!!!) So what do you think??

Values are on the rise - the late ones are Rotboxes, so if your Nan's is good it could command 10K+.

I'd not sell it tho'.

Buy a Carcoon. Find or Hire a (very secure) garage. (Dry) Store it. Reveal again in 5-10 years time. Interest rates are dire.

Out of interest, what did you do with the car in the end?

We are looking for a late Sportspack model and haven't seen anything half decent going for less then £5k, and some for far more than this. We've looked on the PH classifieds, e-bay and Autotrader. Where else would anyone suggest?

Hi - thanks for the replies. Don't think anyone in the family is keen to keep as an investment to be honest.
In answer to what has happened to the mini - nothing as yet... It is going to be sold; just a matter of me or my dad advertising it.

Hi - no car isn't sold (not advertised anywhere). Initial thoughts were about £12,000 but would consider any offer (within reason).
