i have a 1300 cc 1991 metro engine, it has pot joints on the diff, I have just bought a new engine fitted with splicer joints.

please can anyone tell me what i need to do to convert the new engine to pot joints ?

take the diff out, swop either the entire diff for a pot joint one, or strip yours down and swop the output shafts for pot joint ones.

refit diff with the correct potjoint sized side covers.

fit potjoints!

always use the paper gaskets, they are there to both stop leaks and to set the preload on the diff bearings.

edit - missed the word bearings off the last bit!
