Barn find Copper s

Does it have matching V5C, engine number (if it's still on it's original lump that is), chassis number, commission number etc...? Or any other supporting paperwork like a Heritage Certificate (which is not necessarily a sure sign of it being a pukka car), any history, old MOTs, invoices etc...? Is all of the original black trim intact (dash top rail and A-pillars should be covered in black vinyl) and does it have the correct speedo, marked up to 130mph with three sets of yellow markings indicating the 'safe maximum gear change points'...? Does it have a factory fitted right hand fuel tank...?
If it does, check the dates that will be (or should be!) stamped on the wiper motor cover and the flat part of the bootlock fixing - there should be two numbers side by side, for example '4...68' would indicate a car built in the fourth week of 1968, '12...69' would indicate a car built in the twelfth week of 1969 etc (or shortly afterwards).
Hope it turns out to be a good 'un - keep us posted, be interesting to see some pics if you do buy it ;O)
Apologies if you know all of this stuff already, but it's important that all of these things (and many more!) are in place if it's a real one ;O)
