Wow, brave to take on a car in that state of repair, but a 1960 car is tres' early, what running gear is in? All matching numbers? Quite a nest egg and fun play thing! Nicely done. Gwiz

Looks stunning, and hats off as I know how much work can be involved. clap

I'm nearly finished with my Mk1 resto, can't wait to finally get behind the wheel this year. 35bhp is certainly going to be a shock to the system though silly

All back to standard...the only deviation i have made is the fitting of twin leading front brakes.......an old classic is nice but no fun if it does'nt stop.We also fitted a new unleaded head...

that looks fantastic,

my only point would be that you have fitted the brake and clutch masters the wrong way round!

the fillers should be at the back

did you buy this off ebay, im sure i remember the distinctive number plate?

its ok, its a nice and easy job to swop them over!!!

i think you must have the brake master on the clutch, and the clutch master on the brake, as im sure thats the only way that they will nest the wrong way round as a pair!

you will probably notice an improvement in the brakes and clutch as they are different bore and have different valving in them.

The perfectly designed position of the master cylinder split pin makes the job not just easy, but pure FUN biggrin.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.....we tried to keep her as original as we could....finding the vinyl to cover the rear seat and door cards was the most time consuming thing...
