998 pistons?

Hi Mates,

I have problems finding normal dished 998 pistons (preA+) for my restoration. I would be gratefull for any ideas.

Try a local engine company such as Lyndale Engines in Peterborough - I've used them and I know a lot of others that swear by them.

I don't know if they do mail order but they might be able to tell you if you can still get them new (they've always been pretty reasonable on prices too)

Mini Spares part no. P20773-00, standard 4-ring dished pistons for 998.

Sorry, I forgot that I need +20 pistons. Bores are worn out.

So the part number will be P20773-20.

Ermm... I dont realy understand why didnt my search brung this up earlier. Sometimes Minispares search engine does wonders.

It has to be said that whilst there is probably no other Mini parts supplier as good as Mini Spares, their web site is a nightmare to navigate.
