3 synchro helical 3rd speed gear to Cooper S

I am trying to source some 3rd speed gears as 22A983. Almost impossible to find new old stocks, so I started to consider to fit a used one as in a pic attached. Obviously the damage is due to wrong baulk ring assembling but a gear looks otherwise as new.
I am very interested if someone has cured a problem like this.

id look for another one, its a real gamble using gears when the cone has flaked of like that, its always a worry that the baulk will start to topple or snatch, whcih just leads to more bits flakeing off.

if your deperate, smooth all the sharp edges of with wet and dry to try and help the baulk ring and make sure that the baulk ring you use has the required stand of from the face of the gear.

it will probably work fine if your careful with it and you are deperate
