I know money is tight for a lot of people but I priced my mini to sell before christmas and still no joy.

What I can't understand is why people will spend £1500 on a car that needs a huge amount of work when they could spend a little more a buy a decent car that needs very little work. Certainly seems to be a disparity in price between project cars and decent runners.

Anyway, venting/rant over. Belated happy new year

I am sorry that your car has not sold. Where did you advertise it? Prices are on the hole strong. Good luck.

Try Car & Classic and Classic Cars For Sale - they're both free and I've used both very successfully.

Plus you're trying to sell at the worst time of year! December and January is simply awful frown End of March to the end of September is when demand is highest.

Having said that it is a strange Mini/classic market at the moment, 'barn find/projects' are hot at the moment along with concourse minters - anything in between seems to be a bit hit and miss?

A lot of people see a cheap "bargain" and think it'll only cost a few quid to "do up".
Saddly and especially with minis that's rarely the case

How true that is. One of the reasons so many projects are for sale. Too expensive and time consuming to repair. I know of one local Mini that has been sold three times for less and less and still awaits any work actually being done on the car.
