Lap time

I really could'nt care less about the willy waving that is done at the nurburgring by the current supercar makers, however it came up in the pub tonight about how fast a classic mini with a A series engine and licence plates could lap it. I said 11 mins +/- 30secs, so about 80+mph average.

Does anyone know what the official or unofficial time would be? or indeed have a link to a spritely lap time?

I know its a borish topic but i thought someone might have been privvy to something we/I have not seen.

If thay can get a transit round in just over 10min I am quite shore that it is posible to get a well set up mini in under 10min. If any one can lend we a mini with about 130bhp I think I could even go for below 9?
