Hi all,

Just wanted to know what people think about car covers? I don't have access to a garage so unfortunately the mini has to be parked on the street. The reason I ask is that a friend used to have an MG Midget which he had a cover for and he was unconvinced that it helped, rather it kept some moisture in in certain conditions. My thinking is that if this winter is as horrendously wet as summer has been (but really, what are the chances...?!!) then it might be the better option to have rather than not having one at all. I do drive it at least a couple of times a week (driven over 6k miles in it so far this year) so it's not like it's going to be stewing underneath a cover for extended periods. What are other owners thoughts/experiences? Also, any recommendations on a good cover and where to buy from?

Thanks in advance!

Great, thanks for your advice. Heard there was snow coming this week so got scared and just ordered one (with the 4 layer Stormforce upgrade - it was only a tenner extra) from coveryourcar.co.uk

As long as the cover as off at least some of the time its ok. I left my car under for over a month and it did not do any good. Should have taken it off once a week or so when the wether was good.
