My first Mini :)
Discussion
Alreet all, just wanted to drop by and say hello here as Ive had my black Mini Cooper just under a month now, had to get something alot cheaper to run/maintain than my prevous car but could still take to shows etc (Ford Racing Puma #14) and have always wanted a mini since I can remember and now seemed the best time.
some details :
1991 Mini Cooper in Black with white decals
Got this little beaut at The National Mini Show and picked her up on Monday for a bargain price of
£1780
82k and has some service history
cooper interior
sportex exhaust -will be changing the front for Maniflow
Minilite wheels
Drives like a dream and loving it already!
A few pics after a first quick wash the day I picked her up:
And at Ashby Folville last month
Im already booked on a trackday at Donnigton with a few mates in 3 weeks whch will be a reet lugh more than anything, its gonna save me a hell of alot of money in the long run and its a cool little car to have !!
Done a couple of mods since Ive had her, clear rear lights, front indicators and side repeaters, fitted a bracket to drop the steering column abit (looads better) and also fitted halogen headlights, again a massive improvement! Also had it fully servced on Sunday which has helped
a few pics as she stands
one with the FRP in the back:
Will be doing my two yearly trip to the Nurburg Ring next year aswell as hopefully getting to London to Brighton and as many shows as possible.
Future plans include getting some wider arches, 13x7 Starmag wheels, body work touch up, suspension uprgarde, brake upgrade (4 pots) and to complete the exhaust with a maniflow front system complete with KnN filter. Fingers crossed this time next year itl have a turbo aswell!
wey thats all for now, hope to see/ speak to you all at some point!
Cheers Zara

Nice car but please, dont do the 13" starmags, hideous. If anything go for 10s, especially as you plan to change to 4 pot calipers anyway, but i like it the way is it, more genuine / original.
Not only hideous, but big wheels rob Minis of their nimble feel. 12 x 5 an absolute maximum if you enjoy the way it handles. Another vote for the originals from me.Ive had mixed replies about the 13's tbh Iv heard alot of good stuff about them, a mate of mine is running 13x7's and handles amazing...
After how much my little box is sliding around atm i definately want to change them span out at Donington Park on Tuesday on a sighting lap ending in the gravel pit (all is fine though and got through the rest of the day well) but it wasnt even being pushed as hard as I drive it normally...
thanks for the comments/opinions about the rest though Im liking how it is atm and apart from a new set of tyres for winter its staying that way until the warmer weather
