loose tappet

evening all,
adjusted all my rockers up after having a very noisy number two, and less than a week later, number two is exrtremley loose again, anybody know what could be causing this?

Locknut has a stripped thread?

its adjusted up to where i did it last time, just gone loose again

Is the nut work loss or are you gaining movment some were else?

Cam lobe case hardening knackered? Measure maximum lift compared to the other valves.

Alternatively are the rockers just very worn? It's pretty much impossible to accurately set them with feeler gauges if they are.

nevermind will get on to kent as this is a very early failure.
