Have ben considering selling my mini and then the TVR to go with an Elise or VX, or possibly a old Griff and a Diesel 106.

The mini hasn't been driven for 2 years, just got it started, and went out for a bit of a blast!

Sell? Never!!!

Just too much fun, handles like it's on rails and the fun you can have at near legal speeds.

Could never sell.

know how you feel, i decided to sell mine for a number of reasons. But i took a mate out this weekend, we were blasting along at 8000 rpm down a dual carriage way. On 10inch wheels and a 3.7 final drive thats not far off 120mph, which was enough to convince me its worth keeping. Having said that even a standard 998 is absolutely brilliant fun.

Funny how that happens isnt it?

Since buying the Mini I currently have I've had all sorts of quite decent motors.

They have come and gone but the Mini stays, no question of that...

Yep, I know, we've got 6 minis in the family, 2 70's Cooper S's, my massievly tuned 1 litre, my brother's tuned 1 litre and a std 1 litre, and a traveller. Every single one of them a hoot to drive.

3:76 final drive, 7000 revs, 12" wheels.

We have 3 in the family. It would break my heart to sell any of them.

My cooper sport is just beautiful while my track day car is hot, uncomfortable, loud, brutal suspension but i could never ever et rid of it.

Tim,

Looking forward to seeing it at Lydden, must send my form off.

After having great fun at Goodwood in the Mini it’s given me a kick to get going on my project clubman, hoping to do a cheapy track/road car.

having read this I am now positively salivating at the prospect of getting back in to my mini after 3 months apart...
