help finding motor

Help please im trying to find a clubman to buy to do up! But for the love of god i can't find one, so does anyone know a good place to look??
I do the mini mags and my local paper, i even look on ebay but im worried of getting a car from there. Im after any kind of clubman with about £1000 buget and i live in luton. So anyone know ok a web site that might help or a car near you and me??

Pat Healy Motors on 01992 892919 has a yellow 1275GT in need of very full restoration. I saw it yesterday outside his workshop and I think he might sell it. It looks fairly complete, although I didn't have an in-depth look. Don't forget you can now buy a brand new Heritage Clubman shell. It would be like new then!
Give him a call. He's got loads of Mini bits, shells, resto projects, etc. He's a really nice guy as well and very helpful to Mini people.

says that the car belongs to someone else.

You could always go Cooperman's re-shell idea route - Buy a shagged regular mini, and a new clubman shell, then just use the shagged car's ID to build a new clubman...

Only snag is that'd be well outside your 1000 quid budget...

I also know of a completely original 1275GT in need of full restoration , its around the £450 mark and is tax exempt so an early one , its all there but does need a lot doing .Tempted to buy it and store it .

I have a 1970 Clubman (i.e free tax) that is up for sale, someone is looking at it at the moment but if they don't want it I will give you a shout
