Transition to alloy fuel tank

Hi there,
My sprint and hill climb mini currently runs a standard MPI tank with an in tank impreza pump, but i'm looking to downsize to a 1 or 2 gallon alloy tank. Something like http://www.alloyracingfabrications.com/alloy-2-gal...
I would like to avoid additional swirl pots (tank wont be much bigger than one anyway!) and low pressure pumps and rely on a gravity fed out of tank setup if possible....
What have others done when converting to alloy tanks when running fuel injection?
Also, does anyone know if in tank pumps are the same as external pumps just with different fittings at the bag / filter end?
