im going through one of those phases

just thought i would get on here for inspiration, im going through another one of those periods were i have had enough of the car, its one thing after the next and its getting me down!

do any of you lot go through these? i have in the past where i just want to sell it and get a boring modern box. thankfully i never have, and im sensible/stupid enough never to sell my little Mini

i just want it to run perfectly for a longer period than 6 months before something essential goes wrong. last month it was the clutch release bearing, now its a coolant leak from the chargecooler, which i have re-sealed twice, but it still leaks!

Maybe the Mini brooklands day this sunday will help

Frequently, but struggle on definetly worth it. Smiles per mile and all that.

Beside modern cars aren't as reliable as they should be and generally when they do go wrong it costs a fortune.

Sometimes i hate my car, list as long as your arm of broken items, rust issues, and generally not being as nice as i like....Then i drive it and love it all over again

Yeees, most of the time.
The old orange shelf in the garage is finally going for an MOT shortly after a 4 year lay off
Don't know why, every time I look at it I think why?
Would really like to recoup my out goings on it but that ain't gonna happen I guess.
If I got what its cost me to get this far, I could buy a decent Triumph Stag/Vitesse or a load of other more useable, reliable things
Besides its been in the family for too long and the 6 year old wants it...

Usually feel like this after iv spent hours cleaning and polishing etc and all i can see is the little spots of rust and problems i know need sorting.

yeah thats currently bugging me, but after the Brooklands Mini day im feeling good about the car for now

its definitly a frustrating relationship with the Mini but i love it!

When im at shows i always have to say to myself that the cars im looking at dont see the winter and salt and spend most of their time in the garage.
