Hi all, fiddling with my exhaust manifold the other day and notice a single pin wire unplugged, its white and goed onto the underside of the throttle body area, Does anyone know what its for? my cars a 1996 rover cooper 1.3 spi, i did plug it back on but not noticed any change,
Thanks
Thanks
There are 2 connections, under the throttle body, on a SPI.
One is the temp sensor for cold start(twin plug)
the other is the pre heating device (one wire) on a big round "thingie" .
These pre heater,s tend to fail, that is probably why you dont feel any changes ?
remove it from the manifold, and shake it, if it feels like sand is moving around, then its broken.
