I think I have found out the reason for my engine jolting.

Where can I get this bracket? I cant find it anywhere. It is the lower front engine steady bracket. The bracket I need (pictured) connects to the subframe. I can find the bracket for the other side that connects to the sump, but I have checked at minispares, minisport, huddesfild and cant find this one bracket anywhere.

Yep, if Pete can't get it, it doesn't exist.

I am trying to source a wiring loom for an SPI mini but so far have been told they are not made. Do you know if this is the case?

Yup, just had a look on that website and have done a bit of research.

It appears the bracket was part of the subframe and cant be bought sepretly, looks like I will need to get it machined...

Cheers

ok, forgive me on this but alot of this is over my head.

im ok with a spanner, but what would I need to do this, would I just cut the steel and file it to spec, and then heat it with a blowtorch and bend it in the right places? And then I could get the mot guy to weld it on before the mot...

That won't be helping for sure, but IME the upper engine steady has far more effect than the lower one (which wasn't even fitted on earlier models). If the upper engine steady has failed, that will have put a lot of stress on the lower one, so make sure the upper is ok. I'd also suggest a "ultimate engine steady" kit for any kind of spirited driving, even with a standard engine.
