My son has just started driving and wants a mini. does anyone have one for sale. Would like one that requires some work but not a basket case. Ideally 998cc (for insurance purposes) and something with discs on front ( so this limits us to 1986 to 1992) i think.
Just to say, its only about £400 a year more on insurance to get yourself a 1.3l. I did a quote today on a 1.3l and it was just shy of £3000 when a 998cc is around £2,600. Is it not worth spending the extra money for a quicker car?cookie121 said:

You cant be serious i think my old mini 30 cost me £900 to insure with a few mods.... when i first started driving 9 years ago!! 3k!!! mini's are great but i cant see how anyone would buy one as a daily with the asking prices some go for and crazy insurance for youngsters!
But they hold their value well and are pretty much the cheapest car you can insure.veevee said:
