hello my friend had a 1981 mini 1000 and it keeps blowing the fuse for the speedo light and the rears, i was wondering if anyone would no what the cause of this is?

It means there is a short some were (Or a high load). There are some of the posibiltys.

Check that the bulbs are working ok (Blown bulbs can some times short)
Check that there is now water getting, check both the rear lights and back of the dash.

If that all looks ok the next thing to do is unplug every thing on that fuse and plug them in one by one untill the fuse blows. Then have a look at what ever blow the fuse. Check wiring for damige and connectors.
