Pitting on Crank Journal
Discussion
I am building an A series engine which is going to be fast road spec. Everything has been to engineering shop and come back freshly machined and cleaned. Assembling the bearings and crank tonight I noticed a tiny spec of rust on the con rod journal so I rubbed at it with scotchbrite and it was gone. Only problem is, there's a tiny bit of pitting left. Just like a couple of tiny pin pricks.
Anyone know if this is acceptable or is it back to machine shop for another grind and polish
