Metro engine

Hi, can anybody please tell me would a 1990 g reg rover metro engine be of any use for a mini. I know that metro changed to rover in 1990 but did they use the series a + engine for a while. Thanks Van.

IIRC the Rover Metro came out on a "H" prefix , so I'd say yours is still an ARG version thus having an A series under the lid . Do you know the differance between a A and a K series ?

Can you not get them to take a pic of under the bonnet? It's pretty obvious then and you don't have to rely on a clueless person differentiating between an A series and a K series.
