hi all gonna have another go at uploading some pics of my project.
hope this is working.................
im told this is an A+.

at last ive sussed it. heres some more..
i'll post as many as i can to where my dad and i are up to

new mains ,big ends etc. bores were ok so we honed and re-ringed.

then we cleaned up some of the engine parts to make it look better all round.
new cam............

we did all this while i was saving for gearbox parts....:2 paper rounds , washing up at the local pub and waiting on at park hall hotel.
i'll do the head next.

i have got hold of a 12g295 but it needs a full rebuild so i have done the standard head for the time being and im aware it is not the best option but is only temporary.

reground all valves in , seats were good fitted kent double valve springs from cam kit. all my purchases are from minispares by the way.

gearbox was a pain because we had to wait a long time for baulk rings as they were out of stock,but arrived eventually. so a full rebuild went ahead on the box fitting minispares clubman straight cut gear kit and competition baulk rings, centre oil pick-up, all bearings renewed, magnetic pick-up. and after some good advice we decided to change from a 3.1 to 3.44 final drive.
