ANGLE GRINDER CUTTING DISC WARNING
Discussion
Mods, this is a duplicate of the post in General Gassing as I know a lot of guys in this thread use Angle Grinders etc
.
A friend has recently purchased some angle grinder metal cutting discs from a well known retailer.
Three of them "exploded" shortly after starting to use them, the first one while his dad was using it, then the second and third when he was using it. The third one has ripped into his hand causing damage to tendons etc.
Now these discs had a stuck on expiry date label on them showing them current but the label is stuck over a date in 2010.
Now I'm not sure why angle grinder discs would deteriorate with age but BE WARNED.
If you want to know the store or if you have had a similar problem please pm me

H&S overrides a cross post.
Thanks Big AlIf there is anywhere else it could be posted please do so for me.
He's been to hospital today, they are going to do some work once the swelling has reduced, he has called into the high street store and there were lots more pack on the shelf. He has highlighted the problem to the retailer who gets the packs delivered from the company depot and so it could be a country wide problem not one created by the particular store.
