Cooling Suggestions?

A bonnet scoop or vent won't help really. You need more water volume. If you have an oil cooler (you must have an oil cooler!) you can move it to one side as far as possible and fit an additional heater matrix (i.e. aux. radiator) alongside the oil cooler running the pipes in series with the heater matrix inside the car. This used tyo work, although you may need to spacer the front grill a bit forward to clear the oil cooler and the aux. rad.
If you want a heater matrix to plumb in series I've got one in good condition. Could protect adequately and post. Drop me a PM. MAybe worth using water "wetter" which assists with heat transfer (better than water). Google it, it's an additive for the cooling system.
FAiling that - A front mounted radiator may be your only other option if additional water volume doesn't sort you out.

thanks for the feedback,
i dont have an oil cooler, i currently do have a 13 row rad mounted behind the grill but thats for the chargecooler. i dont see why it couldnt be moved along and another rad sat alongside it.
i use Mobil 15w50 motorsport oil, which i was told wouldnt need an oil cooler.
I was thinking about two circular holes at the front of the bonnet on the rad side, to aid airflow?
im going to look into the Wetterwater stuff.

I have fitted a metro rad at the front and then used a dizy cap from a Montego. There are a lot of very good high volume rads that replace a the normal rad. I hade a mini spares rad on a 115bhp mini and the temp was never a problem (Track days and racing).
I also used exhast rap to keep the temp down under the bonnet. This also stopped problems with the carb getting to hot.

You could replace the standard fan with an export fan from Mini Spares
