Roof rack for my wee beastie?
Discussion
Hi guys and gals,
I'm looking to add a roof rack to my Mk II Mini and was wondering what your recommendations might be? I've tried the PH search but it seems a little hit and miss! So far I've found the following examples:
Ebay -- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Classic-Rover-Mini-Cooper-Mo...
MiniMail -- http://www.minimail.co.uk/products.jsp?q=roof+rack
MiniSpares -- http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?ty=pb&p...
Or should I just go to Halfords and see what they have? Is there anyone looking to sell their used rack near Hungerford or Horsham?
Any advice or tales of good or bad experiences much appreciated
Thanks,
Andy

We have one of these racks for ours:
Obtained from ebay for £30-40 (I think, can remember but couldn't see me paying much more! (tight arse))
While I like the retro look of the 60's style rack, the expense and small load space meant that my 70's/80's style adjustable rack is much more versatile.
On this one the four indipendant sides fold from vertical, through 45 degrees to horizontal. So fitting thing like buggies, timber, bicycles etc on top is very easy
It also fits on the Allegro estate which is a bonus
(Couldn't find a pic with it attached but wanted to post one anyway lol)
