Why exactly do you want to turbocharge a 998cc would be my first question?

I'm no expert but I dont see the point really. Yes, thous are good revy engines when N/A but the amount of work I could imagine you having to put into it, would far outway say charging a 1275?

Go to www.turbominis.co.uk, search for Ben H or Will H. They have a turbo thousand hill climb car which I think is around 130bhp now.

In terms of what and how it's much the same as turbo-ing a 1275, depending on which turbo and set-up you go for. Go to the above site and do a search, there are quite a few turbo thou's on there. I must admit I quite like the idea of a turbo thou' too, but I can't warrent the cost or time on another project at the moment.

Phil.

Only reason to drop a Turbo on a 998 is to take advantage of the rules for sprinting or hillclimbing. I think the x1.4 conversion makes the Turbo 1 litre a really good proposition in the up to 1400cc modified production class.

There is a chap that runs one in the West Midlands, Sprints at Curborough. Green - a real weapon hehe
