on my way back from somerset to swansea today my thermostat packed in. waited on the side of the m49 for it to cool down so i could check water level and gareth and his partner pulled up in the vauxhall to lend a hand. didnt know either of them but turns out they have minis of there own and couldnt drive by and leave a mini stranded... they gave me an escort to magor services just after the toll on the m4 and offered me there tools at there house (not far away) to remove the thermostat if need be.
i decided to remove it at the services when a group of lads in there cooper came and gave assistance in making a gasket out of a redbull box. an ex military mechanic (who i was parked next too) also lent a hand and we got it back on the road

great to see theres still people out there willing to take time from what there doing to lend a hand in fixing a classic for a total stranger just because they have a passion for minis
