Hello all,

i would like advice on Flip Fronts? if anyone has any experience.

my only reason for considering the idea is for ease of access to all things engine bay etc.

whats the general concensus?

You need to keep the inner wings for MOT purposes as the rules have changed, so not much difference in access and not as good in an accident.

Apart from that I don't know anything else about flip fronts

Triangulation brace bars are a must - front edge of subframe back to to top pf bulkhead in line with main turrent bolt. In a frontal I'd rather have this set up than conventioanl inner/outer wings. Migs and se7ens run this structure.

I'd make the flip front of of steel for some furtehr crash protection - glassfibre/carbon ones just vapourise (personal experience racing hehe)

What are the rules concerning MOT and inner wings - I'm also keen to know before I take the angle grinder to the inner wings on my road shell.
