Leven alloy dash vent covers
Discussion
Anyone seen LevenTechs' new alloy covers for the Griffith's dash air-vents? Clicking on the advert (above if you see what I mean!) doesn't seem to give an expanded picture. From the small image though I can't make up my mind, anyone got a better picture - or has fitted them and care to post a pic here? So far I have some alloy bits but don't want to over egg the pudding - Regards Rich...

Leven covers aside, does anyone know how to stop the vents on my Griff rattling out of the dash slots?
They don't appear to be connected to the air feeder pipes in any way other that just a "not so snug" push fit.
Yup, same patent fitting on mine. If you get some heat into them and don't try and accelerate ever, they'll just about stay in place.
A good game is to see whether you can catch one as you take off..........

Take vent out. Apply pliers to metal tubes to shrink apeture. Replace vent with slight force.
I managed to get one of mine to exit it's home, bounce on the console and wedge itself in one of my bass ports! I was only accelerating gently officer.

I had the same problem. I popped into my local RAC Autoglass centre and got some 'sticky-rubbery' tape that they use around widnwcreens and for holding the rubber seals around door frames in situ. It' like a rubbery doubles-sided tape that stretches. Pulled a bit off, stretched it around the bit that kept falling out. Pushed the vent back in - job done.
