Looking to upgrade to a griff in the not too distant future from 8 years of playing in Caterhams & Elises. Few questions for you all.
1. Will it fit in my garage? Garage dims are 4.5M X 2.35 M my MKII Golf fits easily if that helps.
2. Will I be able to get classic car insurance, it will be a second car, & I'll only do around 5k miles a year. If not would it be easier to get cover on a V8S (my alternative choice)
3. How easy (or hard) would it be to maintain myself? I am a fairly competent mechanic, built my Caterham without any major problems.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

Griff 500 dimensions are:
Length 3892
Wheelbase 2282
Width inc mirrors 1943
Height 1205
All in mm.
As for insurance - plenty find that unlimited policies with the big insurers are as cheap (or moreso) than the classic cos - you just need to read the small print to be sure the policy meets your needs.
The main maintenance thing is the residual you'll have if you do it yourself. Your resale price will be much less if the book isn't filled with dealer stamps. The work is easy enough.
Good luck!

I'm restoring a M series car at the moment in a very small garage which I am sure is smaller that you say your garage is and I've had no problem moving around it, my '92 Griff is no certainly no bigger than the M.
I was in the same quandry regarding the Griff/V8S issue and saw some superb examples of the V8 but when it came down to it I decided that the Griff was a much more modern looking car and would hold its value much better long term.
As far as mechanics go aim to spend about a £1000 a year on good specialist servicing and sorting, I've had a good look at everything on my Griff and can say that it's pretty straightforward mechanically - get hold of a copy of the Griffith Bible from the car club
Hope this helps
