Due to personal circumstances my Griffith 500 looks likely to be sold this week. Is this a record - less than 70 days ownership?
Unfortunately a species of the female variety has forced me to sell, luckily what I paid for it, a car that brings a smile to the face everytime i opened the garage door.
Suicidal from Stevenage!

Don't know if the ownership time is a record but depreciation was pretty damn good, over 2 months use of Griff for free.
Hope you can work on your good lady so that you can return to a Tiv soon. A particluar shame as I know of a rather nice underpass in Stevenage for an amazing V8 roar and getting airborne I'm told.

Theres plenty of women out there, but only a few TVRs. Don't be mad, get rid of the girl, keep the Griff.

Bugger that for a game of soldiers.

Depending on the reasons why you are having to sell, see if you can compromise, but she shouldn't force you to sell your car. Thats crap.

Gary,

Realize this: if she forces you to sell your beloved car, then she pretty much has control over your life.

none of you know what she looks like yet, if she's a stunner then maybe let the car go, if she's a munter- you know what to do.

Need to keep house, too complicated to explain, but will buy another TVR, a Cerbera and the wife has been informed, late this year or early next year as cannot succumb to buying anything normal.

If you have to sell it due to the 'folding green', then at least buy a cheaper one; wedge or 'S'.

I thought marrige was all about compromise, not sacrifice. Don't let her win this one mate, or she'll be doing it forever.

mmm... under the thumb or what? If she can force a sale of the TVR, then she can do absolutely everything.

Tell us more - and it had better be good!

I think 'funkybaloo'(sp) has had his S3 for less than that...still he is in the process changing it for a Maserati, so no girl/wife/better half reasons there!!
Unless his wife likes Masers better than Tivs?? Funky do you have something to tell us???

Good news - after 76 days without a TVR we have bought another Griffith 500. Drove back from Warwickshire to Stevenage yesterday afternoon and it was great fun. Bought the car through Rob Ingleby, like the last one, and he does seem to find realy good cars. It is Imperial Blue, a 1998 car which is a lot smoother to drive around town than the earlier 1994 500 i had. So we shall be bombing around Stevenage and Herts this weekend so give us a wave if you see us.

Excellent news

That's a lot of cars coming and going within a couple of month ! But I am sure you can make sense out of it.

Cheers
